Hey Everyone,

If you have been following our podcasts, particularly my “carcasts,” in episode #84 I took a look at why I think we – Unified Team Diving – are not for everyone. And although that may seem like anti-marketing, it’s important to me and the UTD team that we don’t pursue customers and clients who may not be best served by the training systems we provide.

But then our director of development, Jay Gardner, pointed out to me maybe I could have spent a bit more time talking about who we ARE for. I have another carcast coming up specifically to talk about that, but in the mean time, here is a bit of insight into our ideal client:

1. We are for self-confident divers who are interested in diving as a lifestyle.
2. We are for people who want to be great divers.
3. We are for people seeking a community of like-minded divers.
4. We are for people who may have had an underwhelming experience in earlier scuba training.

There's more to it, but this is the core. I am particularly interested in point #4 – was your prior scuba education experience not that satisfying? We are confident in our training system. We are education first and we are diving first. We've also, after all these years, learned how to effectively and efficiently teach diving at every level, from basic open water to technical cave diving on a rebreather (and everything in between).
